Privacy Policy

    Last updated: September 9, 2026

    1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how TranslatePro ("we", "us", "our"), operated at boldexus.top, collects, uses, and protects information when you use our translation service. TranslatePro is a browser-based tool: we do not offer user accounts and we do not operate a database of user content. By using the service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

    2. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum information needed to operate the service:

    • Translation Data: Text you enter for translation is sent to our third-party translation API provider for processing. We do not store this text on our own servers. Please do not enter passwords, financial details, health records, or other sensitive personal information into the translation field.
    • Local Storage: Your translation history, saved vocabulary, and custom categories are stored in your browser's localStorage on your own device. This data is not transmitted to us.
    • Technical Data: Like most websites, our hosting provider and our third-party service providers automatically receive standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and request timestamps. This data is processed to deliver the site, maintain security, and prevent abuse.
    • Advertising and Measurement Data: Third-party advertising partners may collect data through cookies and similar technologies as described in Sections 5 and 6.
    • Contact Information: If you contact us voluntarily, we process the information you choose to include in your message solely to respond to you.

    3. How We Use Your Information

    We use information to:

    • Provide translation results through third-party translation APIs
    • Store your preferences, history, and saved words locally on your device
    • Maintain the security, availability, and integrity of the service
    • Display advertising that funds the free operation of this site
    • Respond to your enquiries and support requests

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your translation text to build user profiles.

    4. Legal Bases for Processing

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR:

    • Performance of a contract: to deliver the translation functionality you request
    • Legitimate interests: to keep the service secure, stable, and free of abuse
    • Consent: for non-essential cookies, including personalized advertising cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time
    • Legal obligation: where we must retain or disclose information to comply with applicable law

    5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use browser localStorage for essential functionality such as remembering your saved words and translation history. In addition, third-party partners may set cookies or use similar identifiers on this site for advertising and measurement purposes.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can clear all locally stored TranslatePro data at any time by clearing your browser's site data. Blocking essential storage may cause features such as history and favorites to stop working.

    6. Advertising and Google Personalized Ads

This site is supported by advertising. We may use Google, as a third-party vendor, to serve ads on this site. Google and its partners use cookies and device identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by Google at any time:

Opting out of personalization does not remove advertising; it means the ads you see will be less relevant to your interests. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising from many other vendors at www.aboutads.info.

    7. Third-Party Services

TranslatePro relies on the following third parties. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review:

    • MyMemory Translation API — processes the text you submit for translation (privacy policy). Note that MyMemory operates a public translation memory, so text you submit may be retained by that provider and contribute to its shared corpus.
    • Google — advertising and related measurement (privacy policy)
    • Google Fonts — web font delivery, which involves a request to Google servers from your browser

We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party service.

    8. International Data Transfers

Our service providers may process data in countries outside your own, including the United States and the European Union. Where such transfers involve personal data from the EEA or UK, those providers rely on recognised transfer mechanisms such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

    9. Data Retention

We do not retain your translation text. Data held in your browser's localStorage remains on your device until you delete it. Technical logs held by our hosting provider are retained only for as long as needed for security and diagnostics. Retention periods for advertising data are determined by the relevant third-party vendor.

    10. Data Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and we minimise the data we handle by design. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

    11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. Because we do not maintain user accounts, most of your data is directly under your control:

    • View or export your saved data from within the Favorites page
    • Delete your data by clearing your browser's site data for this domain
    • Opt out of personalized advertising using the links in Section 6
    • Stop using the service at any time

California residents have the right under the CCPA/CPRA to know what personal information is collected and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any right, or to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, please first contact us via our Contact page.

    12. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

    13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by posting the revised policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

    14. Contact Us
